Why this exists

The most expensive thirty seconds in a service business

A homeowner with a burst pipe does not leave a voicemail. They hang up on ring four and press the next result. We put numbers to this for a Las Vegas cleaning company by reviewing 1,203 recorded inbound calls: 65% of its 2026 calls were abandoned before a person spoke. That business had paid for every one of those calls through ads, listings and the local rankings it had earned. Alex exists to catch the call the moment it arrives, not to replace you on the job.

What Alex sounds like to the caller

A calm, unhurried voice that answers with your business name and asks what is going on. Alex is scripted per business, not per industry, so a caller to a cabinet painter hears questions about doors and finishes while a caller to a locksmith hears "are you locked out right now?" first. You review and approve the script before it goes live, and we revise it from real call recordings in the first two weeks.

What Alex collects before handing off

Name, best callback number, service address or neighborhood, what they need and how urgent it is. If the caller volunteers an email, that is captured too. Everything lands in your dashboard as structured fields you can search, not a transcript you have to read.

The warm transfer

When a caller is a live job, Alex dials your cell and plays you a short whisper: "Call coming in from Dynamic Digital in Las Vegas. It's Maria and she needs a quote for interior painting." You answer and you are connected. You decline or do not pick up, and Alex tells the caller you will be in touch, then sends you the details by text and email within a minute.

What happens after hours

The same thing that happens at 2 pm. Alex answers, qualifies and transfers if you have told us you take night calls, or books the callback window if you have not. Sunday emergencies stop being a reason to sleep with the phone under the pillow.

What Alex will not do

Quote prices, promise arrival times you have not approved, or give legal or medical advice. Alex is built to gather and hand off, and to say "let me have the owner confirm that" when a caller pushes. Every guardrail is in the script you approve.

Anatomy of a call

Ring to booked job in under two minutes

  1. The caller dials your tracking number. Each site we build gets its own dedicated line, so you always know which property produced the call. Numbers are yours; if you leave, the number goes with you.
  2. Alex answers on the first ring. In your business name, with the first question written for your trade. Robocallers and scanners are detected and hung up on within seconds so they never reach you.
  3. Qualification, conversationally. Two or three questions at a time, summarized back to the caller so they feel heard. This is where a caller decides you are the real thing.
  4. Transfer or capture. Live job and you are available: warm transfer with a whisper. Otherwise the full record is texted and emailed to you, and the caller hears exactly when to expect a callback.
  5. Everything logged. Recording, transcript, structured fields and the page the caller came from, in your dashboard the moment the call ends. Our automation takes over from there.

Fit and setup

Who Alex is built for, and what setup involves

Best fit

Trades and home services with emergency or same-week intent, practices that cannot afford a missed intake, and owners running more than one location who want a single view of every call. If most of your work comes from repeat commercial accounts with dedicated managers, you may need Alex only for after-hours coverage, and we will say so.

Setup in one week

Day one: a 30-minute call where we learn your services, service area, hours and the questions you ask every caller. Day two to three: we write the script and the transfer rules and provision your dedicated number. Day four: you test-call Alex and we revise. Day five: the number goes on your website and, if you choose, your listings. We do not touch your existing main number unless you ask us to forward it.

Consent and compliance

Calls are recorded with a disclosure, and any text message follow-up only goes to callers who asked for it or opted in through a form with an explicit checkbox. Our privacy policy describes exactly what is stored and for how long.

Pricing shape

A one-time setup for the script, number and dashboard wiring, then a flat monthly fee that includes a block of call minutes. We quote it in writing after the discovery call. There is no per-lead charge, because we do not want an incentive to count spam as leads.

Pairs with

Alex is strongest when the site sending it calls is fast and the follow-up is automated. Most clients run all three; owners in Henderson and Las Vegas often start with Alex alone because the missed-call problem is the one they can feel.

Questions we hear on the first call

Does Alex replace my office staff?

No. Alex answers the calls nobody was answering: after hours, during jobs, when the line is busy. Businesses with a front desk usually use Alex for overflow and after-hours so their staff stop apologizing for voicemail.

Can callers tell it is an AI?

Alex introduces itself as an assistant and does not pretend to be human. Callers mostly care that someone competent picked up immediately and knew what to ask. We are happy to play you real recordings on the discovery call.

What if I want the call myself, always?

Then Alex is set to transfer first and only speak when you do not answer. Many owners run that mode during business hours and full qualification at night.

Who owns the phone number?

You do. It is provisioned for your business and ported or forwarded to you if we ever part ways. We never reuse a client's number on another site.

What languages does Alex speak?

English by default. Spanish scripts are available for businesses where a meaningful share of callers prefer it; we scope that on the discovery call.
